i hate premiere pro
I've come a long way from using iMovie to make videos. Part of that progress was ditching Apple's ecosystem (only to run straight into Adobe's, like running from one burning building to another), but hey, video editing is a very rewarding and enjoyable hobby even if Premiere Pro makes me want to pull my hair out sometimes!
I really need to learn how to use DaVinci Resolve already...
Here are some of the channels I run and the videos I make on them.
Join me and wander into the Dark Ride Zone.
The Dark Ride Zone is a theme-park focused variety channel created by TheWebCon, featuring two types of videos:
- The Dark Ride Zone, tightly-edited video essays about theme parks that may be hiding a few secrets here and there...
- The Overflow Zone, looser commentary-style videos where I talk mostly unscripted about things going on in the world of the theme park industry
As The Dark Ride Zone is a very unique channel, its content requires a lot of additional work, which means videos take a LONG time to come out. But I am really passionate about the project still, and want to keep making more videos for it, so if you like what you see, don't hesitate to subscribe!
MCTP-Related Videos
Since I like creating theme parks in Minecraft, I also like to make those theme parks have cool trailers and videos. Even if nobody watches them, it makes it feel even more legit, ya know?
I've created trailers for projects, POVs and ridethroughs, and other strange miscellaneous stuff, mostly for Fuse and Solar7 Adventure projects. If you want to learn more about those, you should check out the Fuse & MCTP page, but if you just want to watch the videos, the channels are linked below.
Song Visualizers
I don't know about you, but when I'm listening to music on YouTube, having a visualizer of some kind is REALLY cool. I also make music, so I have the control to do just that for my own music projects. As a result, I've made a lot of different visualizers for my songs and like to really test my editing skills and see how cool looking I can make them.
For example, the video in this card (a visualizer for an original song titled forgotten system settings) was hand-edited by yours truly. After making the album cover art, I exported all the assets from that and recreated it, then animated it with keyframes to simulate a real interface. Did it take forever and also nearly kill my sanity? Let me answer that question with a question: isn't it cool looking?
Song visualizers are posted to my main channel, TheWebCon, when music is released.
Gameplay Highlights
I also play games sometimes, and on occasion I'll want to record the experience. I haven't done this much so far but I really enjoy the process and would like to keep doing it. They're uploaded to my main channel if you want to see them.
There was also this time I recorded myself playing ANIMAL WELL for the first time, edited the video and nearly finished it, but then the source file got corrupted and I had no backup and I lost everything... that REALLY hurt, but boy did it teach me about backups
Relaxing Music Compliations
I've listened to so many "relaxing nintendo music to study/sleep/relax/implode to" videos that I decided I should try my hand at making them. I want to make ones that don't already exist and fulfill niche categories, like less popular game soundtracks or theme park music.
I've made a few of these already and have ideas for more, so if you want some niche study music, check out my "TheWebCon Plus" channel; it's where I upload these kinds of compilations.
Happy studying/relaxing/chilling/imploding/whatever you do while listening to these videos!
Clips, Meme Edits, Etc.
What do I even say about this?
I also make dumb stuff for the sake of making dumb stuff. They're on the "TheWebCon Plus" channel if you want to see them.
